Social Opportunities

ENABLE Glasgow has long recognised the fundamental importance of providing social opportunities and activities that people with learning disability tell us are important in their lives. As a result we have always run clubs and planned activities with a view to enabling people with learning disability to have control over their own social lives. In 2009, with the guidance of our Social Co-ordinator, we have been able to extend and vary the services on offer.

Our social activities are designed to kick-start a social life for people with learning disability that reduces their dependence on paid support or that of family members.  People can access low-cost activities in an atmosphere that respects their particular needs, and use this as a springboard to a wider social life.
