Most people feel happier when they are valued as a member of their community, and through our training for work services ENABLE Glasgow provides opportunities for people with learning disabilities to make a practical economic contribution.
We recognise that not everyone with a learning disability will we able to have a paid job – but this doesn’t mean they can’t make a real difference to the communities they live in. Also, being part of a working team brings friendships, social support, and wider wellbeing.
Most of our training for work opportunities are based in north-west Glasgow and are provided through the Thomas Fortune Work Centre. The Centre is also a vital support service for many people with learning disability who live in the area.
