Good Bowel Health
A guide for people with learning disabilities and their carers
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Bowel Cancer UK are teaming up to produce a resource pack and training course for carers of people with learning disabilities. This resource will cover how to communicate good bowel health messages and will explain the importance and the process behind the Bowel Screening Program as well as how to engage. This resource will be a national product that all health boards will be able to use so your answers really will help us to shape a valuable resource for people with learning disabilities throughout Scotland.
There is also a survey which carers can complete - this will help the organisers find out aboutt he extent of knowledge of good bowel health in the city. he link to the survey is: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/JMS7FBB
If you have any questions about this project please feel free to contact Emma Brook, Bowel Cancer UK: 0131 225 5333
Thank you for your help and please feel free to pass the survey on to other care providers.
