Planning Together

Much of our local level campaign work is carried out through the Planning Together initiative, co-managed by ENABLE Glasgow and our colleagues at Fair Deal.  Planning Together has now been operating for almost eight years, and is one of the most important means by which service users and carers can play a direct role in service planning and delivery in the city.  Much of the initiative's work is carried out through its network of Planit groups throughout the city.

One of the most significant issues in the city over recent years has been the City Council’s plans for reform of day services, and we have been successful in establishing service user and carer representative Council Committee level in overseeing these changes. Planning Together also supports carers in regular meetings with the most senior Social Work officials to ensure that their voice is heard.  Planning Together and ENABLE Glasgow also supports user and carer participation in all the other various local and city wide joint planning groups that we have worked so hard to establish over the years.

We would strongly recommend that service users and carers find our more and get involved with Planning Together - this is one of the most effective means in the city of making sure your voice is heard.
