Since its foundation, ENABLE has maintained a strong tradition of campaigning at local and national level, and this remains one of the most important aspects of our work. Increasingly, this has involved us supporting people with learning disabilities and their carers to undertake this work on their own behalf, and as a result, we now have a very effective core of campaigners who have made a real difference to the lives of those we support.
